Come Hang Out At The Okadabooks Meet Up

Hi guys, So this is what I was talking about… If you’re in Lagos and you want to meet with me in person, please turn up on the 20th. I’m a really reserved person; Okadabooks had to tug me out to do this but I’m glad to do it. I’d be happy if you showed up as well. Also, if you’re an aspiring blogger and you need tips on blogging, please come. A good number of you contact me and ask me questions and I hardly have the time to reply, so this would be a good time to meet up and talk. And none of you Mainlanders should give me that ‘why didn’t you bring it to the mainland?’ thing. Are we not all in the same Lagos? It’s just a ‘short’ ride away if you cannot trek How do they say this in Nigeria? God bless you as…

What You Guys Did Is So…

Good morning! Today I’m here to just air my mind and tell you how I feel about all of you, so please read this carefully and with an open mind. Just recently, I was interacting with Audrey Timms and she told me something that deeply touched me. We were discussing about you guys, yes, everyone that comes here and takes time out to read the craziness in our heads that we post on the regular. So she was telling me what you did to her and I was amazed. According to Audrey, a lot of you contacted her and bought her book! In fact, you guys were so amazing that she has extended that same love to me – in cash, of course. You won’t believe how my head was swelling over the words with which she used to describe you. What can I say? I feel happy, I feel…

Moskeda Lounge Invitations, End of Fish Brain Vows, Novocaine Knights and Something New

Morning! Hope you guys are having a great day. If you’re not, here’s a warm, tight hug from me to you. I just want to run through a few notifications. Moskeda Lounge Invitations Last month, I invited a good number of some wonderful people here to the lounge. Some of you accepted and about 40% didn’t. I sent the invitations again, two more times, and gave notice for people to check their spam folders but I got the same silence. Well, let me say that I have deleted those invitations and I am giving it to people who want it. A couple of people have even unsubscribed because of their displeasure of the whole thing and ironically, they were on the list. Sigh. Abi una want make I lie on the floors you walk on to please you? smh. Anyways, I am sending out a fresh batch of invitations and please do check…

Something Went Wrong!

Hi Guys, I have been off from here for about 24 hours. This is because this website went berserk out of the blue and every attempt I made at fixing it didn’t work. Instead it got worse.  So i ultimately had to back up my files and totally deleted everything from database, including Wordpress itself. I started afresh as with a new site and was faced with the almost impossible task of reloading my backed up files which were really bulky. But thank God for Wordpress support, help from some white people online and Google, I finally was able, after much stress to get the site back. I’m not known to give up for any reason and I like playing with computer codes whenever i have the chance. Anyways, the problem is solved. The only issue is that I am missing my images, RSS Feed and an entire week of posts. But it’s all…

This Bey/Jay-Tiwa/Teebillz Affair and The Nigerian Culture by @AdaIzsna

This Bey/Jay-Tiwa/Teebillz Affair and The Nigerian Culture Nigerians, are you entertained? We have been entertained! Or have you not? Since the duo met, got married and started their journey together, we have been entertained. When Tiwa first came onto our screens, with ‘Kele Kele Love, from her failure to be what she aimed to be, having been held back by circumstances such as being Beyoncé’s backup singer, we accepted her into our homes. Little did we know there was an agenda to become her predecessor, indigenously. As time unfolded, we noticed little traits to suggest that she might indeed be walking in the very footsteps as Beyoncé with ‘Love Me x3’, but it was so subtle we could almost miss it for her versatile personality, that of course an artiste must possess. And then came, ‘Ife Wa Gbono’, and we loved her more, her innocence and sincerity debunked…

To Marvey…

I have only one sibling in this world. I do have people I call my brothers and sisters who aren’t blood. But the one person who came from my mother’s womb is my darling sister, Marvey. I don’t talk much about her on social media because we are like that with each other. We follow ourselves on Twitter and nobody even knows. But today, I am coming out of that place and bringing you pictures of my closest female friend. I don’t have that many girlfriends and that’s because… well, I dunno. But I have Marvey and that’s all I need. I bullied her as a kid; we’d fight and punch each other then; we’d do naughty things behind our parents backs and keep the secrets secret; we’d look for trouble outside and God bless the soul that tried to pick on either of us while the other was…

Saving Dapo #13 by @Seun_odukoya

Hi fans of Saving Dapo and Moskedapages, From now on, I will be posting Saving Dapo here and not on the other blog. Please do subscribe to get updates on new posts.   Thanks. PREVIOUS EPISODES Yemisi watched Dapo disappear and burst into a fresh wave of tears. ************************************************************************************* “Thank you, God bless you too. I’m so glad you’re happy,” she responded to Rita. “Em….he’s fine I’m sure.” There were a few moments of nods – and then; “Yes, yes thank you. You too! Take care of him o!” The phone clicked off and Yemisi held it to her chest, smiling skywards. It had been a huge success; more than she had expected. The food had finished, even the reserved stash finished – and the business cards Dapo printed for her too were gone – all she had left were two copies she intended to keep as…

His Little Black Book

Image from www.vector.tutsplus.com So I wrote this a while ago and posted it elsewhere. I actually dumped the story because the male character got on my nerves and everything I did to change him didn’t work. He is actually one of my main characters in a series I’m writing but for obvious reasons, he pissed me off in this story. Today, however, I have chosen to resurrect him; reason being that my blog is swarming with spammers because I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve not resumed yet but expect me soon. Before I go on, I want to say a Happy New Year to you. You guys made my 2013 rock! I got 38,000 views on this particular blog from October to December! Yep! I want to hug and kiss everyone who stopped by here, especially those of you who shared and commented. Times when I was down, you…
