Love, Your Enemy #11

And here we are at the end of the marathon 🙁 This episode is looong. It was two episodes initially, and I had planned to put the other up tomorrow, but splitting it would have broken the story in a wrong place. So relish this. Drop a comment those of you that have been waiting for the marathon to end before commenting. Share, tell your friends. Have a good day. . . . . Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor… -Ecclesiastes 4 “I feel strongly in my spirit that that man is not good for you. But I may be wrong. I may just be wrong. The only way to find out is to pray, and also fast. You don’t want a destiny destroyer in your life. God has created you for greater things, my dear. Greater things.” Adonijah had invited Tara…

Love, Your Enemy #7

Greetings, fam! I just want to drop a quick one. There will be no episode of Love, Your Enemy next week but I’ll be here two weeks later. Please, pardon me. I just want to sort out a few things. Fatimah, the lady that brings you Omoge Campus apologizes for her absence. Her laptop went bad and she’s hoping to get a new one. Ibukunwrites promises to return soon with Memoirs of a Repentant Escort. She had been ill for a while and had also just recently completed her NYSC. Meanwhile, I may resume adding pics to my posts, although not always. This is because I stumbled across a goldmine account on Instagram. OMG! The guy is Papa personified. I saw him and I was like there is no way I’m not sharing these hot pics. I just couldn’t resist. Don’t mind me; I can’t say no to pics of…

Click to read previous episodes of Love, Your Enemy For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. -Luke 8 Pizza and peppered gizzard had not turned as Alice expected. She had hoped that during dinner she and Wemimo would speak to Tara about her present relationship choices, and offer some good counsel. However, her efforts were met with anger from Tara and a tirade that left her and Wemimo stunned. “I’ve made my decision and it’s final! I’m done with Moore!” Alice shivered as the front door slammed at Tara’s exit. “Na wa o,” Wemimo muttered. She was picking out two pieces of gizzard from a bowl on the center table. Resting in front of her was a pizza pack. “Did Tara just shout on us?” “Ta-ta is now a big girl o.…

Read the first four episodes of Love, Your Enemy Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. -Proverbs 31 She was aware of his presence in the kitchen but pretended not to notice. His imposing frame threw a shadow at the entrance, taking away some of the sunlight coming in from the door. She set her concentration on the meal she was packaging. A food basket lay on the table before her. She placed the packaged meal in it and angled her head in his direction. He was just returning from his morning run. Sweat-soaked, he struck a pose that made her think immodest thoughts. “You should shower before the sweat dries on your body,” she said to him. “You want to shower with me?” “Jeremiah…” she chided with a playful smile. He walked towards her. “We’re feeding the poor…

Your Questions On Love, Your Enemy Answered

So yesterday I was sitting down and reading comments from the important notice post I did about IANS and Love, Your Enemy and it hit me that a good number of my readers may be wondering where I’m headed with the new series, wondering if my aim is to put the church in a bad light. I’m sure these same people know that I’m not so into church, and I like to dissociate myself from any of the denominations. Hence, this could be the reason for their mistrust. Lol! I totally do not blame them, though, and so in response to anyone wondering if the story is an ignoble act against Christianity and the church, here’s what I have to say: 1. Like all my other series, I’m simply telling a story. There are going to be villains and heroes and all the juiciness you have in a typical story.…

IMPORTANT UPDATE! The Return Of IANS, Newsletter Subscriptions And Other News…

Good morning, dears I just want to leave some quick messages. I have a lot of people asking me about It’s Another Novocaine Saturday lately. It actually makes me feel sad that you guys are doing this because I took my time to give detailed explanation as to why I started the story in the first place and how I’m putting a break on it. I did not promise to bring it back immediately and I clearly stated that I am starting two new series. It upsets me that I have to repeat myself. It’s like I’m wasting my time leaving important information. Some people choose what they read and ignore the rest. Even when I put the notice before any new episode of a series. Please, I am begging you to take every single word here seriously. Every post that is put up here, asides the series, is very…

Love, Your Enemy #4

Read Previous Episodes of Love, Your Enemy The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places… Psalm 16 “Ah! Relax, Alice.” “You want to cry? It’s not that serious nau.” Aunty Shade left the bed to where Alice sat and put her arms around her. “Relax, my dear. You’re not in a courtroom.” “We just wanted to know if you had honest intentions towards our father,” Aunty Ayo explained. “It’s not a crying matter.” Alice was nowhere near tears, but her face must have said different. Having held her breath for so long, she felt like she was going to pass out. She had been unable to give the sisters any answer and so she sat glued to her hot seat, sweating through almost every pore of her body and praying that by some miracle, she would appear on her bed back at home, waking up from a…

Love, Your Enemy #3

The time was 7am. The day was Sunday. The venue was Alice’s home. And the topic of discussion was Alice’s relationship with Papa.

In attendance were Wemimo, Tara, Alice herself and Pastor Adindu, who was not a stranger to the ladies.

Love, Your Enemy #2

Read Episode 1 of Love, Your Enemy For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. -Matthew 6 Alice picked out the embarrassing sound of her rumbling stomach rumble. She also felt a prickly sensation in her armpits as the atmosphere around her suddenly turned warm. Her mouth seemed to lose the bulk of its saliva as well. An instant headache hit the side of her head, causing her temporary blurriness. She clutched her iPad with both hands to get a grip on herself but her troubled stomach worsened, leaving her no choice but to hurry out of the church as the senior pastor was just about to deliver the day’s sermon. Dropping her iPad with her best friend, Wemimo, who was seated beside her, Alice sought the nearest exit and sped towards it. The pastor’s voice over the PA system irritated her with each step.…
