How 2016 Was A Good Year Around Here

Hi Fam! Happy new year! I have missed being here and missed you all. I hope you all had an awesome holiday. Some of you are still flexing somewhere and I envy you. Bring back chin-chin for us oo. So erm…first of all, my Christmas was half-lit, half messed up. On the 28th, I got up and couldn’t move. My waist was on fire and I have been bedridden until then. Even as I type this, I still can’t sit up for more than five minutes or so. Awful pain. If you are passing by my house when my husband is trying to get me to stand straight, you’d think he’s beating me. Yes, the pain is so bad I cry like a baby. But hey, forget all that. God has healed me and I can’t shout. I am fine. Let’s talk about 2016. For almost everyone in Nigeria, it was…

Get The Fourth Finger E-Book Using Your Credit Card And PayPal From Smashwords

First of all, I apologize to all my readers outside Nigeria who have not been able to get their own copies of The Fourth Finger E-Book. I have been trying hard to see that happen. I took to Smashwords.com because it is a large community of authors and it gives my book the opportunity to be published in different formats. Asides that, I can still have the option to let Smashwords send the book to B&N, Kobo, Scribd etc. But anyways, here I am. The process to get your book there is gruelling. Those people don’t play. They want everything done perfectly. So, if you’ve been waiting (yes, Shubi, you), you can now go ahead and get your copy of The Fourth Finger on Smashwords by clicking HERE If you’re in Nigeria and you want to get the book, visit Okadabooks store HERE If you can’t download it from Smashwords or Okadabooks,…

The Fourth Finger Ebook – Excerpts

The Fourth Finger Ebook – Excerpts My boss called me this evening and he was like, ‘Sally, have you finished your book?’ I laughed. And said to him, ‘I’m never done until I hit the publish button.’ Good evening, guys. Panic not. The book drops tomorrow by midnight. Just like it had been with Fish Brain Madhouse. But before it does, here are excerpts from the chapters you haven’t read – just to make your mouths water. The book cover was designed by Ogbonnaya Williams Chukwudi, whom we call Signor Chuksy. I wanted something mysterious that left first time readers wondering what the book was all about, ad Chuks gave me this which I absolutely love. Read excerpts… He didn’t expect her to answer the call. The note she left had pretty much revealed her state of mind. Dejection had set in. She wasn’t one to easily let his…

The Fourth Finger Release Date

Hi Everyone! Hope you’re having a good day? I have read numerous messages from Twitter, Facebook and the comment section concerning the release of The Fourth Finger. I know you guys are anxious as I am. Well, I’m here to let you know that you don’t have to wait anymore. Or rather for much longer. The Fourth Finger will be released on the 31st of July. Save the date! For those of you who understand how tedious it is to write a book, you’ll know that it’s a miracle that I’m churning this one out in two months. Remember it took me over a year to bring out Fish Brain Madhouse? And that’s because there’s a lot involved. I have to do edits, revisions, have someone edit and so forth. And hence, the delay. Thanks for your patience, though. In the meantime, catch up with It’s Another Novocaine Saturday…

The Fourth Finger #21

Christie woke up alone and with the sun in her face. The room was bright with daylight. The shades had been drawn apart and she couldn’t remember doing so. She lay in bed for a while, allowing the goodness of the previous night soak into her core, leaving her face in smiles. But the day held long activities for her, so she turned off the air conditioner and placed her feet on the cold floor quite begrudgingly. She had woken up a couple of hours ago to use the toilet and when she returned to bed to lie down with her backside to Folarin’s crotch, they made love again and fell asleep exhausted. Now, she felt sore and tired. She went for a leak, came back to the bedroom and saw that there was a ring box on her dressing table. A grin spread over her lips. Folarin always made…

The Fourth Finger #20

Previous episodes of The Fourth Finger Tired after her long meeting, Christie arrived at the hospital to visit Bernadette and her baby at exactly 7pm. A nurse at the reception, upon recognizing her, presented a perky smile. “Mrs. Adediran, longest time! So nice to see you. How is the family?” “Everyone’s fine.” “And Boluwatife? Last time I saw her, her front teeth were out.” “She’s all grown now.” “Aww, my love to her. You’re here to see Mrs. Uchendu, right?” “Yes.” “Well, she is not out of surgery yet,” the nurse replied. Christie put out a confused face. “She had a caesarian?” “Yes but she’s still in the theater. There was a little complication and they had to wheel her back in.” “Complication? What happened?” “Nothing serious. It will be sorted out. The baby is fine, though. You can go and see him. It’s not visiting hours but just because…

The Fourth Finger #19

Toni carried that look on her face that women are often said to have after a wonderful night with men they love. She just couldn’t stop smiling, although she had kept a composed demeanor when Andre took her home the next morning and plastered kisses on her face and neck. “I’m going to miss you, Arinola.” He kept his constantly-focused eyes on her. She wanted to tell him she would miss him too; instead she leaned over and kissed his chin. It was her favorite place on his body to kiss apart from his lips. She loved the way his stubble felt on her face “I’m beginning to understand your subliminal language, young woman.” He laughed. “In other words, you’ll miss me too. It’s aiight. My regards to your mom and bon voyage.” When he was gone and she was alone, Toni fell into a sea of mushiness, listening…
