What You Guys Did Is So…

Good morning!

Today I’m here to just air my mind and tell you how I feel about all of you, so please read this carefully and with an open mind.

Just recently, I was interacting with Audrey Timms and she told me something that deeply touched me. We were discussing about you guys, yes, everyone that comes here and takes time out to read the craziness in our heads that we post on the regular. So she was telling me what you did to her and I was amazed.

According to Audrey, a lot of you contacted her and bought her book! In fact, you guys were so amazing that she has extended that same love to me – in cash, of course. You won’t believe how my head was swelling over the words with which she used to describe you.

What can I say? I feel happy, I feel blessed to have you and I’m encouraged that another writer’s efforts have not gone down the drain. I honestly didn’t expect the turnout and you guys just made me proud big time. I am doubly grateful.

To everyone who bought her book, God bless you. To those who couldn’t, she will create a platform soon where you can easily purchase it. And to those who are yet to, please contact her on dianaokhah@yahoo.com. Trust me, you’ll be glad you bought it. For those who come here, read, don’t comment, don’t share, and won’t support us, God has a special telescope trained on you; it’s not fair o. But it’s all good. The most important thing is that even if it is not worth your effort and encouragement, you still expend energy and time coming always to read, which means somebody here is doing something good. Will I stop hounding you if you are totally in ghost mode? Errr, lemme see….nope! I’ll constantly be on your cases; get used to it. It’s your punishment for wanting osho-free.

As for me, as I said, I’m going on a break. For those of you who have always wanted to see the Fish Brain Series on air, I’m presently working on the screenplay. If you think the story is something, then adaptation to television is nothing ever seen in Naija. I started off as a scriptwriter, then moved to prose and now, I’m working both angles. It’s fun and challenging but time-consuming and that’s why I need total focus. Also, His Little Black Book will be going into production soon, thanks to my big boss at Hozafrica.com who is absolutely in love with the series. Finally, I’m also writing the last  book of the Fish Brain Series (Fish Bran Madhouse) which will come out on YSGHubs, Okadabooks and Amazon, alongside the others, so it’s all work, work, work for me.

Please, I need your prayers and support. I’m not too shy to ask ;). Where I dream of taking writing and young writers in Nigeria, only God can take me there, so please always send up a word for me.

Boys With Toys will come up once in a blue moon and when it doesn’t, another new writer will fill in the days.

So please don’t go away because Sally is not around.

Thank you so much and God bless you. I have insane love for you guys for your encouragement and support. If I came here everyday and nobody was here to cheer me on, I would have gone back to my former career, writing stories only my husband would read. I’m glad I started on this course.

I want to apologize to those who registered at the lounge. Please, I didn’t just disappear like that o. I was struggling with a lot and had to prioritize my life. I will work out a better plan for membership when I return and re-organize things.
