I have only one sibling in this world. I do have people I call my brothers and sisters who aren’t blood. But the one person who came from my mother’s womb is my darling sister, Marvey.
I don’t talk much about her on social media because we are like that with each other. We follow ourselves on Twitter and nobody even knows.
But today, I am coming out of that place and bringing you pictures of my closest female friend. I don’t have that many girlfriends and that’s because… well, I dunno. But I have Marvey and that’s all I need. I bullied her as a kid; we’d fight and punch each other then; we’d do naughty things behind our parents backs and keep the secrets secret; we’d look for trouble outside and God bless the soul that tried to pick on either of us while the other was there. We knew and still know everything about each other.
I’m the bad sister, by the way. she is the one who on the outside, seems tough and complicated but is a real softie inside. We have four years between us but she’ll still call me and ask me if I needed money or anything else. She’d go shopping and shop for me. She’ll take care of my baby as if she came from her own womb. She’ll scold my husband as if she was the one married to him (not Solange style o). But the point is she has a really big heart.
And she’s classy. Really stylish. Really sophisticated. Yeah, the one my mom spoiled and showered her time on (*sobs quietly). She’s also the brainy one who went through school like she was joking with it.
But she’s still my baby.
I’d like to go on and on but she’ll vex for me if I continue.
I love you, Marvey. Always. You mean more than the world to me. Do and come back home mbok. I miss you.
And erm…guys, to meet her, you’ll have to come to me – with a bullion van.
